Syllabus

This 2 day course is intended to introduce the student to Mastercam’s Multiaxis / 5 axis milling operations. Students will be introduced to the Mastercam Multiaxis module where students will practice creating toolpaths on a variety of parts and simulate the machining operations using Mastercam’s backplot and verify functions.

This course requires prior programming experience and geometry creation is necessary. The class will include instructor lectures and programming demonstrations to prepare students to be able to successfully complete a variety of sample parts.

5 Axis Curve – Curve types, Tool axis control, and Tip control

4/5 Axis Drill – 5 axis drill with 4 axis output.

5 Axis Swarf – Walls, surfaces, chains, Tool axis control fanning, Tip control

5 Axis Multisurface – Cut pattern, Tool axis control, tool comp.

5 Axis Flowline - Cut pattern, Tool axis control, tool comp.
