This class gives the student an in-depth overview of the functionality of Mastercam's main screen. It will include how Mastercam X differs from version 9.1, its enhancements and expanded capabilities.
Includes:
How to import and export non-Mastercam files. (converters are no longer a process but a simple file selection)
Geometry creation, creating a solid, creating toolpaths, generating "G-Code".
The student will become familiar by hands-on experience of

Machine selection: selecting the correct machine, control and post processor.

Stock selection: Material groups, stock boundaries.

Wire frame creation: lines, arcs, fillets, geometry manipulation.

Simple solid modeling: extrusion, cut body.

Toolpath placement: selecting a toolpath type, tool selection, parameter setting.

Toolpath verification: back plotting toolpath, verify.

G-code generation: Posting the toolpath.
